Rescuing Young Moms, Restoring Hope
At Community Life Centers of Haiti, we believe no young mother should face the journey alone. Our Young Single Moms Program (YSMP) is a place to find grace and mercy—a refuge where women receive prenatal preparation, post-birth education, daycare for their children, life skills training, nourishing meals, and a safe place to call home.
Yodeline’s story is one of both heartbreak and hope. At just 13 years old, she became a mother after experiencing sexual abuse from a relative’s family member. Her parents had died when she was a baby, and after her son was born, she was left without financial or emotional support. A friend brought her to YSMP, and from that moment, she began to feel hope again. With the love and care she’s received here, she’s learning, growing, and preparing for a brighter future for both herself and her baby boy, Yodelin.
Right now, 27 women are in our program, and we have 50 more on our waiting list. It costs $49/month to sponsor a mom:
- covering rescue
- the gospel
- prenatal and postnatal training
- daycare while she attends high school or job training
- life skills development
- Healthcare
- and safe housing.
For $29/month, you can support a mother’s child:
- daycare
- Meals
- Healthcare
- and spiritual growth.
You can make a difference by praying for these mothers and children, sharing their stories so others can join in, and considering a sponsorship for a mom, a child, or both. Together, we can rescue, restore, and rebuild futures in Jesus’ name.
The Power of a Meal: Fellowship in Action
At Community Life Centers of Haiti, we believe that a shared meal can be a spiritual lifeline. Every Sunday after service, our fellowship tables overflow not just with food, but with hope, conversation, and the kind of relationships that change lives. For many, it is the best meal they’ll have all week. But more than that, it’s a moment to experience dignity – to be seen.
This ministry is possible because of the faithfulness of our partners. Recently, we received a major shipment of bags of rice that will help sustain our CLC Food Program for weeks to come. Each week, we make sure the most vulnerable families in our church receive not just a plate of food, but the assurance that they belong to a community rooted in grace, mercy, and love.
Week after week, we watch as God uses something as simple as a meal to build His Church. Whether it’s encouraging a young mom, strengthening a new believer, or celebrating milestones like the recent marriage of two of our members, fellowship over food has become a powerful tool for discipleship.
You help make this possible. Every bag of rice, every plate served, and every life touched is part of your kingdom investment. Thank you for standing with us as we share both physical and spiritual nourishment.
Hearts Changed at VBS
For two joyful weeks, Community Life Centers of Haiti was alive with the sound of singing voices, playful laughter, and children learning about Jesus. This year’s Vacation Bible School drew 115 children from our community, many of whom accepted Christ during the program! Every morning and afternoon, kids gathered for Bible study, worship, civics education, health and hygiene lessons, dance, games, and crafts.
Our 15 dedicated staff members poured themselves into making each day meaningful. We provided breakfast and lunch to every child, ensuring that both their bodies and spirits were nourished. The need was overwhelming, in fact, more than 200 children wanted to attend, but our budget only allowed us to serve 115. The desire to learn, to belong, and to experience God’s love is so strong in our community that we’re already praying and planning for next year.
We dream of a VBS where no child is turned away because of resources. You help make this dream possible. Your prayers, partnership, and generosity are what allow us to open our doors, share the gospel, and plant seeds of faith that will grow for years to come. Thank you for helping us reach the children of Haiti with the love of Christ!
Hope Flows Here
Every Tuesday and Thursday, the courtyard of Community Life Centers of Haiti fills with neighbors – mothers holding jugs, children by their side, and elderly friends who walk slowly but purposefully. They come for one thing: clean water. For many, it’s the difference between sickness and health, between fear and peace.
Right now, our Living Water Program serves 65 people each week. But the need is growing. Families are arriving from Port-au-Prince almost every week, seeking safety and a fresh start. With that growth comes a greater strain on already limited resources. We know what’s at stake. Two years ago, a cholera outbreak caused by contaminated water took the lives of children. We are doing everything possible to prevent history from repeating itself. To meet the current demand, we need to increase water distribution from two days a week to three or four, which would cost just $200 more per month.
This is where you or your community can step in. Maybe your church or your small group, or even your family could provide the extra clean water we need for $200 a month. We also ask you to join us in prayer for this growing need, for the families migrating here, and for God to stir hearts to help. Together, we can keep our neighbors safe, healthy, and reminded that they are deeply loved by God.
Thank you for being part of this story of hope. Your prayers, generosity, and encouragement are helping the Church in Haiti shine the light of Christ brighter every day. If you feel led, please consider making a gift to help us continue bringing the gospel and practical care to the people of Haiti.
