There are nearly 2.3 million Haitians between the ages of 15 and 24 - more than 20 percent of the country's population - and about 30,000 of them are in and around Ouanaminthe. Yet this generation is not being effectively REACHED with the truth of the Gospel or truly SERVED with love and compassion.
These young Haitians have lost hope and feel they have no place to go: in their faith, in their life, and in their community. The local church, while still having an impact on the older generation, is losing the younger generation because of their focus on tradition.
There is a desire for a church that meets these young men and women where they are.
